A HaKol HaYehudi investigation looked into the connections between the Hamas-affiliated charity “Hir Ummah" and the Ra'am party. After the findings were released, Ra'am officials denied knowing that Hir
Ummah was affiliated with Hamas, but the facts demonstrate that that claim is difficult to believe. Senior members of Ra'am were proved to have been present during incitement from members of Hir Ummah. The latest revelations now show that Ra'am chairman Mansour Abbas shared posts by Hir Ummah.
Two weeks ago, Hakol HaYehudi revealed that Ra'am's “Support 48" charity transferred large sums of money and collaborated with the Turkish-based and Hamas-affiliated nonprofit Hir Ummah. Ra'am party members claimed in multiple interviews and press releases that they had no knowledge of Hir Ummah’s connection to Hamas and that they checked the Defense Ministry's listings of sanctioned organizations and did not find Hir Ummah.
In addition, Ra'am claimed that the joint activities were "strictly humanitarian and educational." This also appeared on Ra'am's official Facebook page and was stated in an interview with Kan by Ra'am Member of Knesset Waleed Taha.
Following the denials, HaKol HaYehudi carried out a further investigation, exposing the blatant lies and showing that Ra'am members must have been aware that Hir Ummah activists were Hamas operatives. Furthermore, the "educational" content delivered by Ra'am leaders, including Nassibah Issa, a member of Ra’am’s Shura Council, contained extremist rhetoric and incitement.
Now, the latest HaKol HaYehudi investigation shows that Ra'am chairman Mansour Abbas personally shared content related to the collaboration with the Hamas-affiliated nonprofit.
A post by Abbas includes an image showing Amar Abu Hashem, a Hamas activist from Hir Ummah, together with Support 48 activists. Abu Hashem was a key leader in the joint partnership between Hir Ummah and Support 48.
HaKol HaYehudi’s investigation into the relationship between Hamas and Ra'am was recently covered on Channel 14 and in other media outlets, such as "The Jerusalem Post" and at the Jerusalem Conference. Multiple politicians responded to the report, and called for a formal investigation into Ra’am.
