HaKol HaYehudi sources in the security establishment report that information provided by the IDF Liaison to the Palestinian Authority about IDF operations in the Gush Talmonim area was sent onward by the PA to local villagers who prepared for the entry of IDF forces with stone throwing and rioting.
The incident took place three weeks ago on Saturday. IDF forces conducted operations in the villages of Dir Ibizaa, Mazraa al-Qabliya, and Kuvar. Before the forces arrived, information was already being posted on social media groups of the three villages and even included the expected route of the forces through the villages.
As a result, the forces were attacked with stones and other weapons prepared in advance by rioters.
The policy wherein the IDF Liaison informs the Palestinian Authority before entering Arab villages in Judea and Samaria has been ongoing for years. Sources within the security establishment have noted that in multiple instances the information has leaked to local rioters or the individual who was to be detained.

The IDF Liaison has so far denied HaKol HaYehudi’s report.
A spokesperson for the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), which is responsible for the IDF Liaison, said: "This is a false and baseless claim. The reporting in the article is disconnected from reality. The IDF and the security establishment carry out active raids day and night to preserve local security for residents in the region. All discussions and coordination on these matters are carried out professionally in a manner that preserves the safety of the forces and the success of the mission.”
