it seems like every time I watch an interview about the war in Israel, everyone is being asked the same question: is this a proportionate response? A proportionate response?! This isn't some mathematical equation, nor is it a response to a some minor issue. This is not us responding proportionately or disproportionately. This is a war.
When Britain destroyed Dresden, killing thousands of civilians, was that a proportionate response? Or maybe when America nuked Japan after Pearl Harbor, was that a proportionate response?
People seem to think that there is a proportionately correct response that will finally bring peace to the Middle East. But no. As long as there is Hamas, there will never be peace, because they will never stop trying to destroy us, as they have stated time and time again.
Hamas are the ones who use women and children as human shields. Hamas are the ones who built their base of operations under a hospital for God's sake!
Hamas started this war by invading Israel raping and beheading men, women, and children.
But make no mistake. We will end this war, and we will win. A True victory. Because once we are done, Hamas will cease to exist and become a dark stain on our world history. And no, it has nothing to do with a proportionate response and everything to do with the right response. The same response every single country in the world would give if they were in our place.
